Where the Echoes Bloom is the upcoming debut studio album by Los Angeles-based theremin player, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Alia (Alia Mohmed), scheduled for release on June 26, 2026, via Leaving Records.
The 9-track record is an immersive, transportive fusion of avant-garde ambient music, synthesis, electronic textures, and traditional acoustic instrumentation. Centred around the haunting voice of the theremin and the melancholic, arpeggiated plucks of the kacapi (a Javanese/Indonesian zither), the project serves as a meeting point for diverse cultural traditions.
