For the better part of the 1990s, Plumtree were one of the best-kept secrets in Canadian indie rock. Formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the four-piece built a devoted following through relentless touring and a run of records that captured something genuinely rare — the feeling of being young, restless, and completely sure of what you loved, even when nothing else made sense.
Now, for the first time, all three of their full-length albums are collected in a single edition. Mass Teen Fainting, Plumtree Predicts the Future, and This Day Won't Last at All arrive together in a special magnetic-enclosed box, presented exactly as they were meant to be heard — in sequence, in full, on vinyl. Each record holds up on its own terms. The fuzzed-out urgency of the debut. The melodic confidence of Predicts the Future. The bittersweet clarity of This Day Won't Last at All, a record that knew, somehow, it might be their last. Together they tell the story of a band that never chased the moment — they just made it. Plumtree are perhaps best known outside Canada for inspiring Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim series, a legacy that introduced them to a whole new generation. But the records have always spoken for themselves, and this collection gives them the presentation they deserve.
